Responsibilities
Build and enhance
Tinman , the AI platform that powers Better’s SaaS and mortgage operations.
Partner directly with
business stakeholders and loan operations teams
to understand friction points and design smarter, simpler workflows.
Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and workflows that integrate with mortgage, partner, and compliance systems.
Collaborate with engineers across Better to evolve our SaaS offerings and support tenanted partner integrations.
Contribute to a culture of learning, excellence, and experimentation—helping establish our Dallas team’s engineering identity from the ground up.
Qualifications
4-6 years of professional experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in
TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar modern frameworks .
Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
Comfortable working directly with business users and operations teams to identify problems and design pragmatic solutions.
Thrive in a
fast-paced, collaborative environment
where you’re empowered to make decisions and deliver impact quickly.
Excited by the challenge of
building a new engineering culture and office presence
from the ground up.
Nice to Have
Experience in fintech, proptech, or other regulated data environments.
Familiarity with mortgage technology or B2B2C SaaS platforms.
