Our team is searching for a Field Service Engineer with skills and passion to install, maintain, repair and upgrade IBA Proton Therapy equipment worldwide.

As a Flying Field Service Engineer “Accelerator”, you play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients. You participate in the installation and maintenance of the IBA systems and equipment on the Proton Therapy sites worldwide at the customer’s site.

You ensure the highest quality of state‑of‑the‑art technologies and services. You will become a specialist in the latest cancer‑treatment solutions and represent IBA with your “know‑how”.

Challenges we trust you with

Install and test equipment/systems according to the defined planning, procedure timelines, operating processes, and specifications.

Perform system troubleshooting and report improvements to the Research and Development Team.

Maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule, and repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to resolve problems.

Assist with the creation of training material and delivery of training to other colleagues.

Document and report interventions and actions undertaken with high levels of detail and accuracy.

Support the Remote Helpdesk shifts consisting of troubleshooting and dedicated support to our installed base.

Participate in multidisciplinary projects to improve processes, product, and emphasize best practice sharing.

What we value You have:

Bachelor or Master of Science (or equivalent) in physics, electronics, mechanics, or systems engineering

Experience with particle accelerator technology highly desired

Excellent oral and written skills in English

A team player with strong interpersonal skills that can give and receive feedback in a positive and constructive way.

Driven, proactive, and hands‑on individual.

Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.

Focused on delivering on deadlines while ensuring the highest quality standards as required by policies, norms and other rules and regulations.

Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time, with more travel foreseen during the training period (±6 months).

A flexible person, willing to work morning, afternoon or night shift and work on weekends.

Capable of handling pressure in stressful situations.

Capable of adapting to different cultures and various business groups.

Salary:

Approx. $86,300 – $114,500 (based on experience, location, and education)

Variable Pay:

Profit sharing, time‑based compensation, “above & beyond” award, referral rewards
