Open Rank (Cardiology) – UNC School of Medicine
Division of Cardiology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an experienced Electrophysiologist (EP) cardiologist for an open‑rank faculty appointment. The position offers full‑time, permanent faculty status with potential for a joint appointment in the McAllister Heart Institute and protected research time for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
Perform procedures in the EP laboratory, outpatient electrophysiology services, and teach cardiovascular and EP fellows.
Attend inpatient service as required or desired.
Collaborate with the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Medicine to facilitate services, advance program development, and meet quality and customer‑service standards.
Protected Research Time Protected research time is available for applicants with a track record in cardiovascular research; candidates may also seek a joint appointment in the McAllister Heart Institute.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD degree.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Electrophysiology.
Location University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Department of Medicine – Cardiology, North Carolina, US.
