Executive Meeting Manager OEM
Hilton Boston Woburn – Executive Meeting Manager OEM (Full‑time, Entry Level) – Boston, MA
Pay Range:
$58,870.00/yr – $58,870.00/yr (additional compensation details available from recruiter)
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year experience as a Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, or Sales Coordinator
Professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing
Internet research and database mining experience
Advanced verbal and written communication skills for negotiating and influencing managers, guests, and corporate clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
Strong organization, presentation skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state
Demonstrates vertical flexibility, analytical approach, genuine style, and strategic proactivity
Problem‑solving, analysis, decision‑making, negotiation, and contract interpretation skills
Effective presentation in one‑to‑one and group settings to customers, clients, and staff
Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competitive positioning in the market
Job Responsibilities
Achieve assigned sales and revenue goals, including solicitation call targets
Monitor and evaluate market trends within assigned segment
Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality regulations, sales standards, and metrics
Develop full working knowledge of hotel operations and departmental policies
Follow event management procedures: BEO creation, F&B forecasting, room block management
Accurately prepare or review catering contracts and banquet/catering orders
Assess customer needs and respond accordingly
Prospect new business through creativity and innovation, identifying leads through varied methods
Evaluate each business opportunity against hotel objectives during daily RevMax meetings
Use yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space commitments to enhance financial performance
Utilize Revenue Management resources for informed decision‑making and revenue maximization
Analyze revenue management principles, pricing trends, and their impact on occupancy and flow
Capitalize on hotel strengths and competitor weaknesses through strategic sales tactics
Continuously seek process improvements and sales system enhancements
Respond to all leads and RFPs within 24 hours
Maintain accurate internal hotel communication
Conduct site inspections, local sales calls, and attend trade shows and client events
Promote hotel through community and business networking organizations
Maintain strong local community and industry visibility
Participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings and required management functions
Perform additional duties requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales
