Summary The Director, Advanced Analytics defines and executes advanced analytics strategy across departments or functions. This role builds scalable analytics capabilities, drives innovation, and ensures analytics delivers measurable business value. The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company serves a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers.
Responsibilities
Define and execute analytics strategy across departments or functions.
Build scalable analytics capabilities leveraging core infrastructure and data lake environment.
Influence senior leadership with data-driven insights.
Lead business value driving innovation in analytics techniques and methodologies.
Represent analytics in enterprise-wide initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally to identify, build business cases for, and collaborate on POCs and implementations for innovative tools, capabilities, and systems.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (MBA/MS a plus).
Experience Requirements: 8‑10 years in a relevant field.
Travel requirement: None.
Supervisor Responsibility Direct Reports:
Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources.
Indirect Reports:
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strategic thinking and enterprise-level analytics leadership.
Expertise in data governance, architecture, and analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of business operations and ability to align analytics with strategic goals.
Proven ability to lead innovation and manage change.
Experience developing and scaling analytics capabilities across departments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Expertise with Python, SQL, data visualization tools, and performing analyses in data lakes.
Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
Experience with Agentic AI techniques.
Environmental & Physical Requirements Office / Sedentary. Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job: stay seated for extended periods (>66% of each day), hear telephone, enter data, and lift up to 10 lbs.
