JOB SUMMARY The Director Business Development is responsible for developing and executing a strategic approach to securing high-value partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving sales growth for Bora's CDMO services across an assigned region and will also provide secondary support across other global markets as needed. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of the CDMO industry, strong consultative selling skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Bora's customer base, focusing on securing high-value accounts.

Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in contract manufacturing and development services.

Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, leveraging cross-functional expertise from technical, quality, and operational teams.

Utilize consultative selling techniques to position Bora as a preferred CDMO partner.

Market Strategy & Competitive Intelligence

Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.

Work closely with the

Strategic Market Intelligence Specialist

and marketing teams to refine Bora's value proposition and go-to-market strategy.

Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory landscape changes.

Customer Relationship Management

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through contract execution and project delivery.

Use CRM tools (such as Salesforce) to track opportunities, pipeline growth, and customer interactions.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with internal teams, including

Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs , to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

Work closely with the

Head of Marketing

and broader commercial leadership to align sales efforts with strategic marketing initiatives.

Provide feedback to leadership on market needs, customer insights, and potential service expansions.

Event & Conference Representation

Represent Bora at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Coordinate with the

Associate Director of Global Events & Public Relations

to ensure a strong presence at key industry events.

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

7-10+ years of experience with a proven track record of revenue growth in the CDMO industry.

Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development and manufacturing process, including all small molecule dosage forms, sterile injectables, and complex formulations.

Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive business growth.

Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and market analytics tools.

Compensation Range: $178,457.00 - $267,685.00
