Overview We are seeking a Business Development Director in Austin, TX to join our Business Development team. This position will be responsible for delivering growth across the Central Texas region, focusing primarily on roads, bridges, and tolls clients, by connecting strategies, solutions, and offerings unique to our clients. The position will be based out of Austin, TX and requires frequent travel across the region. It will work closely with another Sr Business Development Director for the Texas region and will report to our Regional Win Work Director.
Responsibilities
Lead the region, demonstrating collaboration and cohesion while driving dedicated support for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Develop and execute a strategic and tactical business plan.
Provide market and competitive analysis.
Establish, nurture, and grow client relationships and serve as Key Account Manager (KAM) for select clients.
Identify, lead, and participate in key pursuits and teaming strategies.
Represent and promote the company at networking events, professional and industry associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.
Actively participate on social media channels.
Assist organic growth by recruiting strategic hires to win and deliver work in the region.
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, science, construction or engineering or related field or 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
10+ years of business development in the AEC industry.
Broad knowledge of clients and transportation market in the region.
Knowledge of and relationships with local governments and private sector entities and the consulting community in the market.
Initiative-taker requiring limited oversight.
Analytical thinker but focused on tactical execution.
Effective team‑building and collaboration skills with ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge and experience in the pursuit of alternative delivery opportunities including design‑build; CMAR; and P3s.
Existing relationships with other consulting firms and contractors to facilitate teaming.
Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement.

Additional Information Expected compensation range is between $138,000 - $180,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
