Position Summary Gastrointestinal Associates (GIA) is a comprehensive, physician‑led organization and a recognized leader in gastroenterology care across local and national markets. With 16 board‑certified gastroenterologists, 3 pathologists, and 12 advanced practice providers, GIA delivers excellence in patient care through three ambulatory surgery centers, an infusion center, and in‑office laboratory services. The CEO will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership to advance GIA’s mission of clinical excellence, service innovation, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead overall strategic planning and execution to strengthen GIA’s regional and national presence in digestive health services.

Oversee operational performance across clinical, surgical, and ancillary service lines including ASC, pathology, infusions, and laboratory operations.

Partner with physician leadership to align business strategy with clinical goals, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective, and patient‑centered care.

Drive growth initiatives through service expansion, referral development, and integration of new technology or partnership opportunities.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing healthcare delivery, ASC operations, and clinical laboratory standards.

Manage financial performance, including budgeting, revenue cycle oversight, contracting, and expense management to achieve profitability and sustainability.

Recruit, mentor, and retain high‑performing leadership and administrative teams that foster collaboration and accountability.

Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, health systems, vendors, and community partners.

Champion organizational culture grounded in integrity, transparency, and service excellence.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; an advanced professional designation (such as CPA) or equivalent applicable experience may be considered in lieu of the graduate degree.

Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, preferably in physician group or ASC management.

Demonstrated success in leadership of multi‑site, multi‑specialty healthcare organizations.

Deep understanding of clinical operations, financial management, and managed care contracting.

Excellent strategic planning, communication, and team‑building skills.
