Why Charlie Health? Millions of people across the country are navigating mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, but too often, they’re met with barriers to care. As a rapidly growing organization, we’re reaching more communities every day and building a team that’s redefining what behavioral health treatment can look like. If you’re ready to use your skills to drive lasting change and help more people access the care they deserve, we’d love to meet you.
About The Role We are looking for a mission‑driven
General Manager, New Products
to lead the strategy, development, and scaled execution of Charlie Health’s next generation of clinical offerings—beginning with our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program. This role will serve as the P&L owner for these new lines of business and will operate at the intersection of go‑to‑market, clinical, and operational functions to drive revenue, client outcomes, and innovation in IOP‑level care. The ideal candidate will have a unique ability to zoom out and define the strategic roadmap while also diving into the day‑to‑day to ensure we deliver scalable, high‑quality, high‑impact care.
Responsibilities Strategic Planning & P&L Ownership
Define and own the end‑to‑end business strategy, execution roadmap, and financial performance for new products, with a particular focus on SUD.
Develop and manage P&L accountability, including pricing, unit economics, margin expansion, and resource allocation.
Set OKRs that span clinical outcomes, market expansion, client engagement, and bottom‑line results.
Go‑to‑Market Strategy
Partner with Growth, Partnerships, and Clinical Outreach to develop go‑to‑market motions for new programs.
Identify TAM and establish commercial hypotheses to guide early traction and demand capture.
Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Marketing to enable referral channel strategies, positioning, and messaging.
Productization & Operational Scaling
Lead cross‑functional teams—including clinical operations, care delivery, and platform product—to translate high‑quality treatment models into scalable programs.
Architect delivery frameworks that balance personalization, compliance, and cost‑efficiency.
Identify and implement metrics‑driven workflows and technology solutions that enable sustainable growth and quality assurance.
Clinical Collaboration & Innovation
Partner deeply with clinical leadership to shape innovative, evidence‑based care models tailored to new populations.
Ensure clinical design aligns with payer requirements, regulatory guidance, and value‑based care opportunities.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through feedback loops, pilot evaluations, and patient outcomes.
Define clinical safety requirements and ensure 100% adherence to those requirements.
Team Building & Leadership
Hire, lead, and develop a cross‑functional team including program managers, analysts, and operational leads.
Act as a general manager and internal champion for new products across executive leadership, board, and investor conversations.
Requirements
10+ years of experience across business operations, healthcare innovation, or general management, ideally in digital health, behavioral health, or value‑based care.
Proven success building and scaling new products or business lines with full P&L ownership.
Deep understanding of cross‑functional collaboration between GTM, clinical, and operational teams.
Analytical and financial fluency; ability to model business cases and assess ROI with rigor.
Strong executional chops—bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and detail‑orientation in building early processes.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; trusted cross‑functional leader and executive presence.
NYC based, in‑office 4 days/week.
