THE ROLE Lead the evolution of our Global Business Operations for the high-growth Cloud Native Business Unit, Portworx by Pure Storage. As the Director of Business Operations, you will be defining the unifying Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for container-native solutions. Serve as the central force connecting sales, marketing, and product teams globally, ensuring alignment and strategic execution. This high-impact position is focused on optimizing our operational excellence to solidify Portworx's leadership in enterprise and mid-market storage and data management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Define and operationalize a unified Global GTM strategy that addresses key market opportunities, ensuring alignment with Portworx's objectives, and resulting in solidifying our premier market position.

Drive strategy and sales frameworks based on data-informed insights by employing market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to create scalable and relevant approaches for diverse global regions.

Lead continuous business optimization and process scaling by pinpointing efficiency gains through rigorous analytics, initiating high-impact projects, and implementing consistent operational rigor across all geographies.

Orchestrate annual capacity planning and resource allocation to balance short-term demands with long-term strategic goals, ensuring the CNBU/Portworx organization has the right team structure and resources for market needs.

Foster alignment and shared accountability by partnering seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, Partner Success, Product, and Operations teams to maximize customer value and drive widespread adoption of our solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

Proven ability to define, evangelize, and execute a cohesive Go-to-Market strategy across complex, global organizations.

Deep expertise in leveraging market intelligence, competitive analysis, and performance metrics (KPIs/dashboards) to guide strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.

Demonstrated leadership in a highly matrixed environment, successfully driving cross-functional alignment and gaining consensus with Enterprise Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.

Strong operational acumen in capacity planning, resource allocation, and scaling standardized, efficient business processes globally.

The capability to translate complex business challenges into actionable operational improvements and high-impact, customer-centric programs.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is: $205,000 — $328,000 USD
