VDC Manager, Electrical

Base salary:
$100,000 – $125,000 /yr with bonus eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of 3+ complex electrical VDC projects for large-scale infrastructure and commercial clients.
Drive BIM/VDC adoption from schematic design through construction, managing a small team of VDC engineers and detailers.
Build and strengthen client relationships to secure repeat work from at least 2 clients within the first 12 months.
Mentor engineers and lead internal training sessions on electrical coordination best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC implementation, training, and support.
Managed 2–3 detailers and/or VDC engineers.
3+ years of experience working for an electrical trade contractor.
Experience coordinating BIM updates, running clash detection on revised components and communicating results to stakeholders.
Capability to work effectively in a self‑directed way within an extremely fast‑paced environment.
Strong organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
Proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to take an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.
Willingness to work some early or late hours to coordinate with project teams in other countries.
Even Better If
Involved in administrative aspects: invoicing, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting.
Knowledge of other primary building systems (foundations, structure, fire protection, etc.).
Experience managing BIM/VDC across a project lifecycle.
Understanding of real‑world constructability of modeled systems.
A portfolio of work you can share.
Proven track record of effectively working with and managing teams remotely.
Background in providing professional services to clients.
