Energy Strategy Manager or Senior Manager Join the Energy Strategy team at Accenture. As part of this role, you will work closely with C‑suite executives and cross‑functional teams to deliver strategic transformation within the Energy industry.

About the Role Accenture Core Energy Consulting helps clients in Downstream, LNG, Fuels Retail and other energy segments implement forward‑looking strategies, optimize value chains, and drive measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

Strategic consulting: Hypothesis‑led problem solving and clear prioritization amidst ambiguity.

Business Model Strategy: Define where‑to‑play, how‑to‑win, assess margin pools and integration choices.

Competitor & Market Analysis: Translate benchmark and cost‑curve data into actionable insights.

Operating Model Design: Governance, decision rights, spans/layers and key processes.

Transformation Strategy: Build sequenced roadmaps with value backlogs, stage gates, and risk controls.

Value Realization: Develop value trees, KPIs, baselines, and track measurable benefits.

AI & Digital Adoption: Apply AI, automation and analytics to accelerate decision‑making and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management: Craft sharp "so what" narratives that drive executive alignment.

Project Leadership: Lead cross‑functional teams across strategy, digital, sustainability and technology.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on Downstream, LNG or Fuels Retail strategy and process optimization.

Strong industry knowledge of upstream oil and gas and downstream segments, including market trends, strategic issues and competitive dynamics.

Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives with measurable results.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management or related field.

Industry Expertise

Downstream Refining: Production optimization, process engineering, vendor management, refining configuration, crack spreads, and turnarounds.

LNG: End‑to‑end value‑chain fluency (liquefaction → shipping → regas), contract structures, and indexation.

Fuels Retail: Network models, site economics, pricing and loyalty programs, wet‑stock control and retail operations.

Bonus Points

Houston‑based or willing to relocate to the Houston area.

Senior industry relationships with senior executives in North American upstream or downstream operators.

Comprehensive upstream and downstream oil and gas value‑chain knowledge with experience in strategic planning.

Master’s or other advanced degree in a related field.

Compensation Accurate compensation ranges differ by office location, role level, and experience. Salaries typically range between $88,000 and $253,000 annually across U.S. locations. Consult local salary guidelines for the specific location.
