The Opportunity: Scale the Future Burns Logistics is seeking an experienced and decisive Logistics General Manager to take full ownership of operations and execute a strategic plan to significantly scale and diversify the business.
This is a role for a proven operator, not just a fleet manager, who can serve as a "Culture Quarterback" to elevate the team, instill operational discipline, and drive profitable growth.
Who You Are An industry veteran with 5+ years of management and 5+ years in logistics/trucking. Strong Operator who thinks in systems, processes, and capacity—not just dispatching. Financially sharp, decisive, and highly process-oriented. Someone who embodies our values: Own It, Say What You Mean, Raise the Bar, Build for More.
Key Accountabilities Strategic Growth: Provide leadership to achieve ambitious scaling and diversification goals. Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatch, ensure SOP compliance, and eliminate variability. Financial Ownership: Drive profitability, reviewing margin, cost-per-mile, and utilization metrics. Talent Leadership: Develop the team, reduce turnover, and ensure safety/DOT compliance.
Reporting to the COO, this role requires a proven ability to scale operations.
