Brio Real Estate, a Blackstone Portfolio Company, is a specialized global commercial real estate asset services platform that manages and supports Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies business (BREDS). We are hiring a Director, Portfolio Management to lead portfolio management and reporting projects across BREDS strategies and provide insights to support the broader business.
Position Responsibilities Portfolio Reporting
Responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive reports and insights for the BREDS executive team and external clients, focusing on portfolio performance, activity and composition
Leads the creation of Board Books and other deliverables for internal and external meetings
Works with BREDS Portfolio Management and investment teams to gather, coordinate and synthesize data and analytics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Management of Resources
Manages COE resources and coordinates across time zones to manage recurring quarterly and monthly reporting processes
Acts as a liaison between BREDS Portfolio Management and COE / Brio to ensure goals and objectives are met
Manages junior team members on delivering portfolio reporting projects
Process Improvements
Documents business requirements for reporting and process changes, ensuring clarity and alignment across business areas and reducing redundancies
Identifies opportunities for process enhancements and improves existing processes and operations
Evaluates technology solutions to automate reporting processes and enhance data accuracy
Collaborates with technology teams to ensure integration of new tools and systems
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, STEM or related field
Advanced skills in Excel and experience with SQL, VBA, or any programming language
10+ years of experience in data analytics, portfolio management and business strategy at an asset management firm, private equity firm, lender, owner/operator, servicer, rating agency, investment bank or broker
Strong analytical skills with demonstrable experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative research
Experience in developing board presentations and reports for senior leadership
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing technology solutions
Excellent and clear communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
Motivation to excel in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, working with competing deadlines
Robust attention to detail
Experience managing teams or resources, particularly in a remote or offshore setting
