Business Services Administrator (4722C), Haas School of Business – #82261 Position Overview Support faculty and administration in the Haas School of Business with comprehensive transactional and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient processes across purchasing, travel, and campus services.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review forms for purchasing, reimbursements, and payments; use the BearBuy system to submit orders and track expenses.

Provide qualitative review of documents and resolve discrepancies on a case‑by‑case basis.

Communicate with Campus Shared Services regarding travel policy questions or issues.

Operate key software packages (Excel, Word, Acrobat, Sheets, Docs, Forms, BearBuy, Connexxus).

Research and recommend vendors, prices, and equipment; identify substitutes for supplies and low‑value items.

Prepare reports and statistics from various internal sources.

Serve as backup for seminar series logistics and staff vacancies as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume transactional environment.

Strong customer service, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, email, internet).

Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality policies (FERPA, California law, UC regulations).

Exemplify the Haas Defining Leadership Principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UC Berkeley systems: BFS, BearBuy, Travel & Entertainment, and Connexxus.

Willingness to learn new online systems and technology.

Awareness of critical academic and administrative deadlines.

Salary & Benefits The position is a part‑time (20 hrs/week) career role with UC benefits and a biweekly pay schedule.

Hourly range: $30.58 (Step 1) – $36.71 (Step 9).

Eligible for full UC benefits.

Role is non‑exempt.
