Role Description Hospital & Biosimilars Health System Directors (HSDs) are responsible for collaborating across multiple Pfizer teams—including Field Sales, Marketing, ADs, TADs, Contract Development, Pricing and Commercial Operations, and Strategy and Deployment—to support effective and compliant pricing and contracting discussions with key accounts. HSDs engage executive- and administrative-level customers (e.g., Directors of Pharmacy, Office Practice Managers, P&T Committee Members) to secure formulary access and drive pull‑through of the biosimilar portfolio.
The role also involves working with the Team Lead to develop region‑specific strategies, lead pull‑through efforts in collaboration with the Association of Hospital Systems (AHS), and provide strategic guidance to maximize the portfolio with key customers. HSDs are active participants in relevant regional account cross‑functional teams.
Key account types include large community oncology clinics, academic institutions, and oncology service lines within hospital systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
Responsibilities
Communicate and collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues (HSDs, HSD Leadership, AHS, Portfolio, Legal, Contract Development, Pricing & Commercial Operations, Strategy and Deployment, Field Sales, etc.) to support effective pricing/contracting strategy and discussions with key accounts.
Work closely with HSDs/AHS to develop and execute focused account plans for all assigned accounts, emphasizing compliant contracting discussions and contract pull‑through.
Engage appropriate customer targets—executive and administrative personnel within HSD accounts—with pricing/value messages for the full Hospital & Biosimilars portfolio (including oncology and I+I biosimilars).
Represent HSD account needs to relevant HQ functions to develop and execute effective contracting strategy.
Comply with all corporate policies and procedures while conducting all job‑related activities with integrity and adherence to Pfizer’s high standards of business conduct.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical affairs, and/or corporate account management with customer‑facing equivalence.
Minimum 3–5 years of direct biosimilars and generic sterile injectables experience, including buy‑and‑bill strategies and demonstrated knowledge of regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA, Health Canada) and interchangeability requirements.
Knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards for biologics and generic sterile injectables, commercialization strategies, market access, IDN and alternate site clinic negotiations, formulary inclusion for biosimilars, pharmacovigilance, and post‑market safety monitoring.
Preferred: oncology and/or immunology & inflammation therapeutic area expertise; proven success engaging academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, and large group practice accounts; strong understanding of the evolving U.S. healthcare landscape; strong financial acumen; and strategic thinking with successful execution of complex programs.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary: $169,700.00 – $282,900.00.
Eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of base salary and long‑term incentive program.
