Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire’s only academic medical center, seeks a full-time Lead Audiologist to oversee our team of audiologists and audiology support staff. In this role, you will collaborate with the Chief of Otolaryngology for the direction and scope of the audiology practice, encourage standardization of processes and procedures, and maintain high-level patient and staff satisfaction. You will work closely with specialty subject matter experts within the team (e.g. vestibular, cochlear implant) to promote and maintain best practices and standards while acting as a clinical resource in audiology.
Position Highlights:
Lead the Audiology division by supervising the audiologists and support staff, monitoring competency standards, overseeing clinical access, and maintaining an annual budget and contracts
Maintain a strong clinical practice in your area of specialty expertise
Academic appointment with Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth to be requested
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
Proven leadership skills desired
Strong interpersonal, and communication skills which include the ability to thoroughly and effectively counsel patients and their families while building patient rapport
Excellent verbal and written skills
The ability to work in a very collaborative, team environment
The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, providers, and other team members

Requirements:
Doctoral degree (AuD) in Audiology from an accredited program (or Master’s degree in Audiology) with minimum of four years of experience
Ability to obtain NH Audiology license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
The Audiology Section at DH provides a range of diagnostic and amplification/management options for all ages and works closely with Otolaryngology/Otology. Various behavioral hearing tests and auditory physiologic measures are performed, including sedated and unsedated ABR, as well as OAEs, VNGs, VHITs, VEMPs and ECOGs. Our aural rehabilitation services include hearing aid dispensing, cochlear implant management, osseointegrated technologies and hearing assistive technology (HAT). The clinic strives to practice evidence-based audiology and employs best practices.
