We are seeking a dynamic Program Director for Resilience and Business Continuity to lead strategic initiatives that safeguard operations across clinical, IT, and emergency preparedness domains. In this pivotal role, you will partner with executive leadership to design and implement robust recovery strategies, risk assessments, and training programs that empower our organization to respond effectively to both anticipated and unforeseen challenges. This role will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, clinical operations, IT, and emergency preparedness teams, ensuring that the health system is prepared, responsive, and adaptable to both anticipated and unforeseen challenges. The position requires strong leadership, influencing abilities, and a work ethic committed to measurable outcomes. The Program Director will work in tandem with business units to include risk and business impact analysis, recovery strategies, plans/playbooks, training, and testing/exercising, all to set up and maintain an overall resilience capability supported by a culture that encourages executive support for successful implementation.
Preferred Criteria
Master’s degree
Certification in Business Continuity Management (CBCP, CHPCP, CCRP) or related certification
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or related field required
5‑7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare resilience, emergency management, risk management, or business continuity.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA, HHS, FEMA).
Proven experience leading crisis response and recovery efforts in a complex healthcare environment.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all clinical and administrative levels.
Demonstrated ability to lead under pressure in high‑stakes, matrixed environments.
Understanding of healthcare delivery systems, IT resilience, and operational dependencies.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and develop effective contingency plans.
