Accounting Transformation - Director at Riveron
Job Summary Join Riveron as a Director in Accounting Transformation. This role is open to applicants who can deliver high value in a fast‑paced environment, improving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting operations.
Base Pay Range $172,000.00/yr – $260,000.00/yr
About the Role Riveron supports public and private companies in enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of their accounting operations. We assess current processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement tools and automation to streamline routine tasks—enabling accounting teams to focus on more strategic, high‑value contributions to the business.
Our Accounting Operations & Transformation Services include:
Close acceleration
Accounting shared services design and implementation
Data clean‑up
Accounting remediation
Interim or outsourced services
Rapid diagnostics to assess risks and opportunities for scale
Who You Are
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field of study
CPA a plus
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting/advisory role, including audit and accounting improvement
Experience with process improvement efforts such as close acceleration, record‑to‑report, procure‑to‑pay, fixed assets, and order‑to‑cash
Experience with accounting automation technologies including Blackline, FloQast, Alteryx, Workiva, or ERP functionality to unlock efficiencies
Passion for developing and maintaining client relationships
Ability to get the job done and enjoy doing so
Skillful communication with a variety of audiences and capability to create compelling stories from data
Thrives in an ever‑changing, dynamic work environment
Quick identification of problems and instinctive pursuit of solutions
Willingness to participate in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
Ability and desire to travel as required based on client location
What You’ll Do
Use general business and financial acumen to advise clients and develop solutions related to people, process, and technology optimization
Partner directly with clients to support their needs and deliver on multiple concurrent high‑quality projects (average project duration: 2‑6 months)
Partner with Managing Directors on pursuits including proposal development and statement of work creation
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion with existing clients
Lead research and analysis on financial, operations, and accounting issues related to business process optimization
Oversee the development of reports, presentations, and other client‑facing deliverables
Own planning of and successful delivery against project budget and workstreams
Participate actively in developing junior team members by providing coaching, performance feedback, and fostering a team‑based working culture
