We are seeking a sales professional who will prospect for new clients who need high‑impact business meeting solutions. You will develop successful agency‑client relationships, solve challenges, deliver tailored solutions, influence others to achieve company goals, and exceed sales targets.

You will work with the Switch Business Development team to identify prime prospects, create communication plans to cultivate contacts and focus on key opportunities. You will be an inspired presenter, rallying excitement around possibilities of working with the agency and capturing how Switch can assist in achieving KPIs and client objectives.

Compensation: Base salary + commission. Base salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Increase overall sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts while prioritizing client experience and profitability.

Identify future events and turn them into opportunities to build a robust pipeline.

Participate in industry related organizations and local community to develop business and attain leadership status when possible.

Qualify leads and develop innovative program strategies to win business and achieve your annual sales goal.

Partner with Switch’s product line teams to develop compelling proposals that create solutions for our clients’ needs.

Utilize Switch’s CRM to document all opportunities and activities.

Ensure sales/gross profit goals are met and clients’ programs exceed expectations.

Continuously learn current trends and developments to become a thought leader representing Switch to clients.

Implement and execute business and marketing plans for assigned territory.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience in sales, specifically in the agency or live events industries.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, journalism, hospitality, or marketing.

Experience in creative services, business events, production services, and field marketing.

Strong sales aptitude and client development skills.

Ability to build relationships, prospect for sales, qualify leads, generate proposals, present proposals, negotiate, and successfully close the sale.

Experience working with marketing teams to develop solutions and strategies for B2B and B2C needs.

Record of success in sales and marketing strategies, achieving goals aligned with organizational planning, including annual goal.

Ability to professionally represent Switch at client meetings, site inspections, industry and association functions, supplier/partner meetings, and staff meetings.

Proven ability to meet sales goals consistently.

Engagement in industry organizations; demonstrated ability to lead and oversee development of proposal responses to potential clients by collaborating with pitch teams including creative, strategy, research, digital media, marketing, and project management.

Ability to present agency capabilities presentations.

Ability to present strategy, concepts, creative and/or project budgets as part of the pitch team.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in business administration.

Preferred experience with CRM tools to mine prospects.
