Job Summary The Physician Network Project Manager will be responsible for managing all projects associated with the Physician Network Services Department. The Physician Network Project Manager serves as an advocate and liaison for the project team and Physician Network Executive Leadership ensuring common vision, plan, and goal. The Physician Network Project Manager will work with physician network leadership and team members to develop a comprehensive project plan. The Physician Network Project Manager manages the activities of all projects by removing barriers, identifying resource needs, and ensuring delivery of a quality product according to timeline, scope and budget.

The Physician Network Project Manager oversees development of Key Performance Indicators and Change Management initiatives associated with Physician Network Services and Physician Network Population Health and Quality initiatives. The Physician Network Project Manager provides regular status updates to the Physician Network Executive Steering Committee.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Health Administration or related clinical field. Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of Project Management experience leading large teams in a medium to large healthcare organization Substitutable Education & Experience: None. Required Certifications/Licensure: Certified Project Manager (PMP Certification); Previous certification in EHR specific to Lexington Medical Center Physician Network Services or Physician Network Quality and/or must be willing to obtain certification. Required Training: Previous experience with strategic planning, implementing and managing large scale clinical software solutions within ambulatory environments; Experience with MS Project; A thorough knowledge of healthcare workflows including Patient Access, Ambulatory Environment Work Flows, Health Information Management, Facility and Professional Billing, and Electronic Health Record components; Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse group of people and communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and consultants; Excellent analytical, negotiation, consulting and problem solving skills; Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to document and communicate dynamic project plans with a high level of detail.

Essential Functions

Serves as the communication focal point of the Physician Network Services and Physician Network Quality projects to all stake holders. Works with project sponsors, marketing, implementation leaders to develop effective tools to: Communicate target objectives and contain scope:

Identify decision points for steering executives

Track milestones

Maintain project visibility within the organization

Prepares comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, and budgets for all project deliverables.

Responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining budget with comprehensive justification for requests.

Ability to make decisions based on expertise and collaboration with team leadership.

Provides supportive documentation for variations.

Advocates for issues and decisions that are in the best interest of the entire project while demonstrating listening and understanding of unique issues and concerns that may require creative solutions to meet the needs of Lexington Medical Center’s requirements.

Functions as key liaison for the Physician Network Project by removing barriers, determining resource needs and promoting collaborative teamwork.

Listens to issues and concerns and offers solutions and options to resolve issues.

Works with project leaders concerning clinical, financial and quality reporting, ensuring data integrity and appropriateness.

Sets expectations and accountabilities for team activities and allocates internal and external resources to accomplish goals.

Makes decisions based on appropriate research, utilization of key contributors and sound judgment.

Completes tasks within timeline and ensures deliverables for all aspects of the implementation escalating issues to appropriate individuals in a timely manner.

Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and legal requirements.

Serves as a mentor and role model to internal physician network services managers and staff to promote consistent best practice related project management

Performs all other duties as assigned.
