Quality Inspector – Electromechanical – Level 2
Location: Minneapolis–St. Paul, MN (part‑time).
Base Pay Range $25.00/hr – $32.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities
You will perform inspection activities, including visual, physical, and dimensional (both in‑process and final) of machined, electro‑mechanical, and other parts, according to client requirements and specifications. Inspection may consist of, but not be limited to:
Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating)
In‑process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection
Compilation of final inspection sign‑off sheet and report packages
Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects
Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent
Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan
Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, and delivery details by Data Center site
Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier’s factory and provide reports of results
Drive closure of findings identified as non‑conformance
Ensuring the supplier’s quality control system documents the findings
Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate that equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance with the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center
Required Qualifications
Have experience inspecting generators, chillers, air conditioners, cooling modules, or other HVAC or cooling systems
Physically able to kneel and/or climb a ladder if needed
Possess experience within a technical discipline or extensive technical training
Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience in the industry or equivalent
Eligibility This position requires access to ITAR‑controlled technical data and/or defense articles. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for this role. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be (i) a U.S. citizen or national, (ii) a U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) a refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) an asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
