Production Planning Analyst

What we are looking for: We are looking for a Production Planning Analyst who will work with Commercial and Inside Sales teams, Operations, and Production Control to ensure that all customer orders are able to be completed and delivered on time in accordance with promised lead times and customer expectations. This role will also assist in the prioritization of strategic orders, including revenue analysis and order complexity breakdowns. This role will also be expected to perform scenario planning based on inputs from key stakeholders, and actively transform these inputs, along with other data into actionable business intelligence.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

Cross‑functional collaboration across the organization to ensure business goals are met.

Performing a variety of statistical analysis (Predictive, Exploratory Data, etc.)

Work with and create forecasts, both qualitative and quantitative

Understanding key performance indicators and the impact they have on total output

Working with and creating dashboards for all types of users (Operational, Strategic and Analytical)

Analyze strategic customer orders based on predetermined criteria, and measure impact of those orders

Track utilization across final assembly areas as well as other key areas as needed

Publish and maintain lead times of all departments for internal and external use

Organizing meetings, workshops, and other needed events related to resource planning

Scenario planning and what-if analysis based on provided criteria along with other Ad‑hoc reports as needed

What are the basic qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, or a similar field of study.

3+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain, Project planner, Logistics & Operations.

What are the preferred qualifications:

2+ years production planning, or forecasting experience AND/OR

2+ years data modeling experience

APICS membership and or certification

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification

Project Management experience

To be a great fit for the role:

SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Data mining, ERP, Data Visualization experience.

Previous experience implementing analytical solutions

Strong quantitative skills through knowledge of statistics and quantitative data analysis and interpretation

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (operations)

Previous experience in project management.

Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis training or experience (Pareto Chart, 5 Whys, etc.)

Effective communicator both written and verbally

Work well in team environment, both as an individual contributor and as a leader

Able to function independently once instruction is provided

Able to travel 25%
