Overview
The Supply Planner is based in Alpharetta GA and will have primary responsibility for Planning Rates, Inventory Control, Safety stock Analysis and other Supply chain duties for Stryten Energy Components and developing technologies.
Responsibilities
Evaluate production planning rates for each of the components plants
Monitor incoming orders to forecast for major SEC customers
Watch for market trends in ordering and customer indication on volume trends
Notify sales group on capacity constraints and volume impacts on production
Manage quick turn/ min max inventory levels and safety stocks
Place purchase orders with vendors for specific inventory
Follow up on order status with plant personnel
Participate in monthly SIOP meeting cycle
Customer-level forecast for specific limited product lines
Cross functional training with other departments and business units
Advise plants on inventory stocking levels and coverage from the forecast that we should keep
Evaluate balance between plants based on optimal plant product mix
Establish by plant and line capacity constraints
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Business preferred
Minimum of two years of work experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations
Battery industry experience preferred
Six Sigma and/or APICS certification is a plus
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge
Experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing environment required
Experience in demand planning and demand forecasting required
Experience in a customer facing role preferred
Experience with ERP systems required
Ability to work in a fast paced environment on high impact projects and duties
Experience in Tableau and preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel
Travel, Other Requirements
No Travel Expected
This position requires work to be performed at the office location in Alpharetta, GA.
