Job Overview The Quality Inspector performs activities related to quality assurance including, but not limited to: Inspection of components and finished goods, completing associated documentation, and support of other quality-related activities.
Responsibilities
Visual inspection, measurement, and functional testing of components and finished assemblies
Perform other inspection activities as needed for process validations
Document nonconformance's when defects are identified
Comply with all company policies and procedures
General document review, scanning, and filing of quality records
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
2+ years' experience performing inspections in a medical device manufacturing environment or equivalent
Core Competencies
Knowledge of the application of sampling techniques
Knowledge of good documentation practices in a regulated environment
Ability to apply basic quality tools for problem-solving and improvement
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply a high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently or as a team
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment and is expected to follow the guidelines and rules for working in the cleanroom. This includes following the gowning procedures, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate.
Preferences
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to use common gauges and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, pin gauges, etc.
Ability to follow controlled quality document instructions when performing tasks
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements This position will be based at our site in Salt Lake City, UT, with no travel.
