Job Opportunity The Associate Wealth Management Banker will support RBC US Wealth Management (USWM) field and management in growing the cash and lending business by serving as the key contact for financial advisors and their clients. The role will assist Wealth Management Bankers in building advisor and client product awareness and understanding of RBC USWM’s full cash‑management and lending platform.

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate the importance of incorporating lending and cash management into an advisory practice to financial advisors and clients.

Assist Wealth Management Bankers to partner with financial advisors to understand their clients, identify and analyze business opportunities, and drive cash‑management and lending revenue.

Build product awareness among RBC financial advisors.

Serve as the key relationship manager to client associates for their cash‑management and lending needs.

Accountable for key performance metrics, including maintaining a pipeline of opportunities to meet client and FA targets such as loan commitments, balances, revenue, units, and advisor participation.

Have a basic knowledge of City National Bank (CNB) banking and lending solutions and collaborate with CNB Banking Advisors to create a seamless credit experience across the platform.

Report performance metrics to the Divisional Manager, Wealth Management Banking, and PCG field management.

Partner with Wealth Management Bankers to provide advisors and clients with cash‑management and lending solutions and support.

Qualifications

Must‑have

2+ years’ experience at a wealth management firm

SIE, Series 7 and 63, or ability to obtain within 90 days

Proven business‑development experience and strong understanding of cash‑management and lending products, including bank deposits, certificates of deposit, securities‑based loans, and high‑net‑worth tailored lending products

Strong drive to grow a business, hit key performance targets, and ensure products are suitable for clients while properly managing risk

Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building with financial advisors, asking critical questions, anticipating future needs, and taking ownership

Nice‑to‑have

Bachelor’s degree

Current FINRA licensing

Business‑development experience within the cash‑management and lending space in a wealth‑management context

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $80,000–$135,000, depending on experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. The role offers additional discretionary variable compensation that increases total pay if business and individual performance targets are met.
