Job Description At Regions, the Wealth Management Middle Office Specialist provides back office support for the Wealth Management business segment. The Wealth Management Middle Office Core Unit consists of the following teams: Account Services (Cash Processing and the Closely Held Group), Custody Services, Fees, Corporate Trust Operations, and Natural Resources and Real Estate (NRRE) Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides specialized administrative support to the Wealth Management business segment, including transactions processing for firm‑specific assets, client bill pay services, wire transfers and check disbursements.
Creates detailed analytical reports and ad‑hoc reports for Front Office associates and Management.
Interprets the details of trust accounting to properly process free movements, cash disbursements and gain/loss activity.
Posts pending trades to allow for the timely settlement of securities trades by SEI.
Administers bond payments and transfers processing.
Oversees fee setup and maintenance in the Wealth Management system.
Resolves problems and answers questions from internal customers.
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Some college and/or bank experience.
Skill and Competencies
Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply new concepts and can adapt well to change.
Demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve common issues/problems.
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, including attention to detail.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and programs.
This position is on the Wealth Management Middle Office Corporate Trust Operations team.
This associate is responsible for managing the Rule 144 DWAC (Deposit/Withdrawal at Custodian) process — an electronic system that facilitates the transfer of securities between a brokerage account and a company’s transfer agent. Rule 144 provides a safe harbor for the public resale of restricted and control securities.
Restricted securities are issued in a non-public transaction. Restricted securities typically are marked as “restrictive,” while control securities generally do not have any such designation.
Control securities are securities held by an affiliate, such as an executive or large shareholder who has the power to direct management of the company issuing shares.
Additional Preferences And Qualities
Knowledge of Depository Trust Co (DTCC).
Knowledge of Rule 144.
Knowledge of SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission).
Detail-Oriented – Shows precision and accuracy in work.
