Assistant Store Manager – FT at Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region
Hourly Rate:
$19.71 per hour
Position Summary:
Assistant Store Managers have direct supervision of all retail supervisors and hourly staff who have access to the vault and/or registers. They are responsible for day‑to‑day store supervision to meet the needs of the store and its customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all opening and closing procedures and responsibilities.
Ensure store audits are maintained at or above acceptable levels.
Maintain LP audits at an acceptable level.
Lead the semi‑annual inventory.
Monitor all safe procedures and ensure all cash handling procedures comply with policy.
Oversee supply management and ordering processes to ensure smooth store operations, while monitoring expenses to stay within budget for monthly and annual reporting.
Ensure payroll expenses are aligned within budgeted parameters.
Delegate work to appropriate employees.
Maintain accurate wage requests and payroll timekeeping for all employees.
Responsible for all employee reimbursements, petty cash, and travel related expenses.
Ensure building and functions are properly maintained; submit and monitor maintenance requests.
Ensure security and safety systems are in working order, including door locks, alarms, bank deposits, refunds, vouchers, and incident reports.
Full‑Cycle Hiring
Be active in interviewing and onboarding new retail employees by following Goodwill's recruitment guidelines.
Loss Prevention
Serve as the security “captain” for the assigned store location, working in cooperation with management and Loss Prevention to protect company assets from internal and external theft.
Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service to a variety of customers.
