Pediatric Neurosurgery – AdventHealth for Children Overview The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for an exceptional and dynamic fellowship‑trained pediatric neurosurgeon to join our program in Orlando, Florida. Ideal candidate will have several years of experience and specific interests in brain tumors and craniofacial surgery, in collaboration with our dedicated pediatric neuro‑oncologist and plastics craniofacial surgeon.

Our team includes support of two pediatric neurosurgeons and three PA’s who provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The hospital has eight dedicated neurosurgical operating suites including a 3T intraoperative MRI and a 64‑slice intraoperative CT. As part of AdventHealth for Children, we have a dedicated 8‑bed epilepsy monitoring unit. Diagnostic facilities include state‑of‑the‑art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, MEG center, and Gamma Knife. We also have Moneris LITT and InSightec ExAblate focused ultrasound.

The physician will work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology, and pediatric epilepsy. The goal is to become a leading best practice model that is research‑based, data‑driven, and led by experts. We are the longest continuous member of COG in the Central Florida community.

Our surgical epilepsy program is the second busiest program in the nation and we have been number one in volume in Florida for 10 straight years. On the medical side, our pediatric neurology and epilepsy team continues to expand as we provide care for patients from around the country in our Level IV program.

Board certification through the American Board of Neurosurgery

Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurosurgery

Board eligibility/certification through the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery

Practice Description This employment opportunity is part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of AdventHealth that employs over 900 physicians in 70+ specialties.
