The ideal Manager will oversee all studio functionality from sales to Instructors. The position is a high-profile leadership position that is responsible for the studio's overall direction, coordination, operation, and success. The General Manager will ensure the studio meets or exceeds financial goals, while providing remarkable leadership in areas of customer service, team member relations, sales, in-studio business performance, and member participation.

A CITYROW General Manager is

Confident in generating sales and creating member relationships

Highly motivated, confident, and a people-focused leader who will be able to provide support to a team of 10-20

Someone who has strong problem solving skills, and is a self-starter

Able to receive and give performance feedback effectively

Able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and delegate when necessary

Passionate about fitness, wellness and living a healthy lifestyle

Enjoys taking CITYROW classes and has a strong knowledge of the CITYROW concept

General Manager Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or related field

2+ years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience

Ability to manage and drive 2 revenue streams: memberships and retail

Must have business knowledge and be focused on driving bottom line revenue

Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email

Solid writing and grammar skills

Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information

Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment

Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public

Proficient with computers and fitness studio software

Must live in close proximity of the studio

Full-time; weekend availability Must be flexible with your schedule and time

Non traditional hours - day, evening, and/or weekend hours, including holidays and long shifts as the business dictates

General Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Manage leads and converting them to members

Implement sales process to schedule prospects into trying a class

Generate personal sales and train Studio Team in sales

Focus on engaging with all guests, selling memberships, class packages, and product offerings

Marketing

Lead generation including Grass Roots Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Networking

Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio

Own key marketing channels from ideation/planning/copywriting through to execution including but not limited to: Social Media (Instagram, Instagram Stories, + FB Priority)

Weekly CITYROW email (using MailChimp to communication weekly marketing initiatives, studio happenings, and press)

Run point on special events, activations, and partnerships (e.g.: outdoor pop-ups, team bonding, etc.)

Help promote CITYROW to new businesses with ongoing community outreach

Manage in-studio marketing and maintenance (i.e. chalkboards, seasonal decor, boards, etc.)

Staffing

Hire and manage all aspects of staffing for the studio, including recruitment, hiring, training, and termination as necessary

Supervise, discipline, and advise on pay and termination decisions related to Studio personnel including Sales Associates and Instructors

Optimize and publish staff schedule monthly

Handle all new hire paperwork and onboarding

Monitor class performance and communicate any schedule changes with the Studio Team

Customer Service

Independently make decisions related to high level customer service

Resolve and attend to any client issues/requests

Respond to studio customer service email

Operations

Oversee daily operations of the studio

Enforce CITYROW policies and procedures

Proficiency in revenue reports, attendance reports, etc.

Ensure all forms, administrative supplies, and studio literature is stocked and visible

Order and manage inventory of studio supplies and sales of merchandise

Ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained at all times

Perform ongoing maintenance on studio space and equipment as needed

Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly studio revenue and goal reports

Coordinate with any outside vendors when necessary (i.e. towel service, water deliveries, etc.)

Attend all applicable CITYROW training/meetings at Corporate or via telephone or web conferencing

Any other duties as assigned

This position offers a very competitive base salary; based on experience and performance

Commission paid on sales

Opportunity to bonus, based on performance
