We are looking for an experienced
XR Device Calibration and Automation Engineer
with a strong understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and computer vision enabling technologies. This role involves sensor calibration, automation development, and working with advanced measurement equipment for optics and display systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform intrinsic and extrinsic calibration for sensors such as cameras, IMUs, ToF, eye‑tracking, optics, and displays.
Develop automation scripts and infrastructure to enable repeated calibration and validation.
Utilize measurement equipment for optics and display calibration.
Verify and optimize real‑time computer vision systems, including Visual Inertial Systems, SLAM, Depth from Stereo, and 2D/3D feature detection and tracking.
Debug Android systems and use ADB tools for device testing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure calibration accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Works in the lab, can use hazardous chemicals (e.g., glue, machinery).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with optics and display calibration on XR devices.
Familiarity with automation of robotic arms and control infrastructure.
Robotics programming experience.
Strong experience with AR/VR technologies and computer vision systems.
Expertise in sensor calibration techniques for cameras, IMUs, ToF, eye‑tracking, optics, and displays.
Proficiency in automation scripting for calibration workflows.
Knowledge of Android debugging and ADB tools.
4+ years of industry experience in XR or related fields.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$99,400.00 - $149,200.00
