The Director of Engineering oversees the reliability and engineering functions at fairlife's Goodyear, AZ facility. The role focuses on achieving optimal OEE, safety, quality, and reliability, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership development. The director collaborates with operations, project engineering, process technology, and quality teams to ensure the plant produces safe, quality products efficiently. Responsibilities include asset care, predictive reliability, equipment optimization, and technical support, along with driving training, systems, and project execution. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain engineering and reliability programs, including equipment overhaul, spare parts, and utility management. Lead strategic projects to enhance plant reliability and reduce downtime. Develop technical expertise within the team for critical areas such as UHT, Aseptic Filling, Utilities, and Packaging. Support capital projects impacting key KPIs. Provide technical support for dairy science, mechanical, process, and quality issues. Engage with the workforce to build trust and promote the fairlife culture of Believe in Better. Foster collaboration and ownership across teams to build a World Class Factory. Balance short-term goals with long-term strategies. Represent the plant's values and culture to stakeholders. Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Support safety programs including Lockout Tagout, hot work permits, and confined space safety. Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum 10 years of engineering or plant management experience, including remote leadership. Experience in dairy, bottling, brewing, or food industries; aseptic processing preferred. Ability to mitigate food safety risks, especially with temperature-sensitive raw materials. Knowledge of utility systems, processing technology, and controls. Experience with TPM and LEAN principles. Strong technical and leadership skills. Ability to analyze operations and develop strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of computerized systems like MES, MRP, CMMS, SCADA. Understanding of environmental laws and regulations. Financial acumen in budgeting and cost management. Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Position Details
