Job Description As our VP of Technology, you’ll be at the center of innovation, driving the systems, strategy, and vision that power our business and elevate every customer’s experience. This is a leadership role where you can make an immediate and lasting impact. Lead the strategic design and long-term architecture of our information systems, software applications, ERP platform, and IT infrastructure, and direct mission‑critical initiatives to ensure company‑wide performance, stability, and scalability
Identify and integrate emerging technologies, particularly AI and IoT, by collaborating cross‑departmentally on innovative, connected product concepts that drive business advancement
Establish and govern data architecture, integration standards, and business intelligence (BI) systems to ensure accurate, reliable data for decision‑making across the organization
Oversee and ensure continuous advancement of risk management, data security, and disaster recovery planning, conducting regular audits and updates
Oversee timelines, priorities, and budgets for major IT initiatives, acting as the primary decision maker and communication hub to align internal teams and external vendors
Lead IT governance, organizational structure, and team development, ensuring the right roles, skills, and growth pathways are in place to support business strategy
Negotiate and manage technology vendor contracts to ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality service delivery
Build a culture of service excellence, ensuring a high level of technology‑driven customer experience throughout the organization

Job Requirements To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
4 + years of experience as VP of Information Technology, CIO, or similar role
Extensive knowledge of the modern tech stack of cloud/SaaS applications
In‑depth hands‑on experience with design, development, and implementation of IT systems
Solid understanding of data architecture, integrations, and business intelligence systems
Understanding of IoT or connected device ecosystems
Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and business operations
Analytical mind and excellent problem‑solving skills
Experience overseeing IT support operations, including helpdesk, hardware deployment, and access management
Outstanding communication with a variety of different audiences and strong presentation skills
Demonstrated strong ability to match technical solutions with customer business requirements
This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk, and looking at a computer screen and typing for long periods of time. In addition, portions of the position require the VP of Technology to shadow other departments that may require physical activity, including lifting 25‑35 pounds and standing for long periods of time.

Availability You must be available to work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday ‑ Friday, with the occasional evening or Saturday for projects that must be done outside of regular business hours.
Remote & Onsite Position Our VP of Technology is preferred to be onsite. There is availability to work remotely on days your on‑site presence is not required. Remote employees must be able to meet the standards of The Pond Guy’s telecommuting policy, which includes internet speeds and workspace requirements.
