Responsibilities

Institute quality assurance measures to ensure consistency of services.

Facilitate ongoing parent groups covering relevant topics for parent education, promoting socialization, prenatal groups, child development, and recruitment of families.

Work with program staff and management to ensure full enrollment and adherence to all Early Head Start program requirements, recommending changes and updating forms.

Attend community, state, regional, and national meetings and conferences as assigned.

Participate in data collection, program evaluation, and event monitoring; present data, provide feedback, prepare monthly documentation and annual reports, and supervise quality improvement.

Provide weekly supervision and support to Doula and Home Visiting staff in Early Childhood Development, Prenatal Services, Family Support, Nutrition, and Parenting per Healthy Parents & Babies program requirements.

Coach, observe, and document staff performance; maintain accurate written and electronic records.

Maintain program policies and procedures and ensure staff adherence.

Establish and maintain community relationships with outside service agencies providing child and health care services.

Develop activities to recruit new community partners; document referrals and follow‑up.

Introduce standard processes, pilot new activities, and adopt innovative approaches for partner recruitment.

Collaborate with ERSEA Coordinators and Program Administrative and Marketing Teams to promote the program.

Provide Doula support and backup services, including field support and coverage of home visits.

Develop and maintain supportive, believing relationships with families to promote maternal and child health.

Conduct assessments and screenings, develop care plans, and facilitate referrals to community resources.

Advocate for children and pregnant participants to receive appropriate services from the program, community, medical, and private entities.

Provide individualized health education on safe and healthy behaviors and parent‑child interaction.

Collaborate with care providers and partners regarding participant needs.

Participate in orientation and onboarding of all new staff; facilitate professional growth of Doulas and Home Visitors.

Ensure Doulas attend about two births per month and maintain on‑call availability; manage caseloads of 10‑12 pregnant participants.

Ensure Home Visitors conduct a minimum of 46 weekly visits per family per year, each lasting at least 90 minutes; supervise a caseload of 10 children.

Guide ongoing professional development, provide coaching/mentoring, facilitate onboarding, team development, and staff training.

Develop and implement staff training and monthly reflective supervision cycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.

At least three (3) years of related experience in service delivery to culturally diverse families with young children using a strengths‑based approach.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Must obtain DONA certification within one year of employment.

Knowledge of community resources in Chicago, IL.

Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and digital tools.

Training in education, nutrition, and related topics relevant to the position.

Ability to plan and implement family/parent educational activities as part of the program team.

Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Salary & Benefits Base Annual Salary:

$77,400.00 – $85,000.00
