Senior Software Engineer - Spring Boot/ETL/APIs

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT). You will work as part of a team building integration using multiple technical formats (may include APIs, file-based, Snowflake shares) and database work in support of FI’s research publishing function under FIWA. Your experience, skills, and input will be critical to our shared success. We seek a highly motivated and collaborative individual who can apply their experience to contribute to the design and development of this platform alongside a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers.
Expertise & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Advanced development experience, building enterprise applications using Java, Spring/Spring boot, Python, REST APIs, Swagger, Postgres, SQL
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud deployment/application management is a plus
Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins/Jenkins Core
Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub
Experience working with modern web frameworks such as Angular 18+
Experience with testing and test automation libraries/strategies such as Karate is a plus
Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
Financial Services industry experience preferred but not essential
Test driven development experience and working with Jira and Xray preferred but not essential
Experience implementing and working with vendors and their solutions preferred

Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) supports our business partners to excel in their respective markets. We strive to achieve this by meticulously crafting, building, and up-keeping the software, technological infrastructure and products within Fidelity’s Institutional (FI) business units. Embedded within FI is the Integrated Portfolio Construction area, which is dedicated to building workflows and APIs to support the ongoing efforts to support wealth advisors and fiduciaries. As a vital member of this dynamic team, your role within FIT will focus on contributing to the design and development within the team.
