About the Role We are looking for Data Scientists to help drive innovation in understanding the incremental impact and value of product features and marketing strategies. You will work closely with team members to implement test designs and evaluate new product launches, promotions, and media campaigns to understand business impact across all sales channels.

At Audible, you will develop advanced scientific solutions and drive critical customer and business impacts, playing a key role in end‑to‑end solutions from business requirement analysis to delivering actionable findings to managers and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze customer data for segmentation, clustering, acquisition, retention, engagement, and recommendations.

Perform content evaluation, apply natural language processing, and analyze attributes in text, audio, and cover art to generate content recommendations and identify trends.

Conduct product‑related analyses including user click‑stream analysis, search engine optimization, and product recommendations.

Evaluate marketing performance across earned, paid, and owned media.

Basic Qualifications

Currently pursuing an MS/PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research, data science, economics, or a related discipline involving experimental design and quantitative analysis of experimental data.

1+ years of hands‑on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or statistical analysis techniques.

Development experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages.

Experience extracting data using SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to software engineering environments (version control, command line).

Experience with machine learning pipeline orchestration on AWS (SageMaker, Batch, Lambda, Step Functions) or similar cloud platforms.

Experience with causal inference methodologies for quasi‑experimental settings (Synthetic Control, Difference‑in‑Difference, Regression Discontinuity, Propensity weighting).

Experience with forecasting methodologies.

Ability to tackle loosely defined problems and consistently deliver elegant, modular, and scalable solutions in a timely manner.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $97,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
