This role is part of the team that defines how users see and interact with Salesforce data directly inside Slack.

About The Team The Slackforce team is driving the integration of Slack and Salesforce, turning Slack into Salesforce’s primary frontend for the next‑generation agent‑centric AI experience.

The team builds the connective layer that brings Salesforce data and workflows into Slack, ensuring a seamless, user‑centric experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Front‑end / Back‑end engineers to conceptualize and deliver new features for a large and growing user base.

Own and maintain high‑quality systems and APIs that shape Slack’s product experience, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

Actively engage with support and operations teams to triage and resolve production incidents.

Mentor engineers and conduct thorough code reviews to raise engineering standards.

Improve tooling, processes, and overall engineering quality across the team.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience building web applications.

Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (PHP, Python, Java, Ruby, Go, C, or similar).

Experience contributing to technical architecture discussions and driving architecture decisions.

Ability to write maintainable, testable code with a focus on long‑term health.

Product‑oriented mindset: experience building end‑user features that matter.

Strong communication skills—able to explain complex technical concepts to cross‑functional partners.

Benefits and Compensation Compensation is determined by location, role, and experience.

Salary ranges for this position are:

Colorado: $143,300–$278,600 (base)

Washington: $157,600–$306,600 (base)

California: $172,000–$334,600 (base)

Benefits include paid time off, health, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life & disability insurance, 401(k), and employee stock purchase program.
