Job Description A global cloud services organization is seeking a Network Cloud Engineer to join their remote operations team. In this role, you’ll ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of HMS host‑hosted environments while supporting daily monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure maintenance. You will work across AWS, Windows, and Linux environments to manage system operations, automation, and documentation.
Key Strengths & Focus Areas
Cloud Networking & Infrastructure: VPNs, VPC architectures, subnets, routing tables, security groups, VLANs, IPSec, and general cloud networking concepts
Linux & Windows Administration: Red Hat/CentOS Linux, Windows Server (2012R2, 2019, 2022), RDP/Windows host concepts, Active Directory, DNS, RDS, and Group Policy management
Database Awareness: Relational databases, especially Oracle/ODBC
Automation & Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, SQL, Ruby, and configuration/state management tools (Chef)
Cloud Operations: AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Route 53, SSM, Lambda), system monitoring, incident management, and production environment support
Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: Consistent, hands‑on problem‑solving methodology aligned with operational standards
Documentation & Communication: Clear documentation of incidents, system changes, and operational procedures
Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience maintaining and supporting Windows environments and enterprise networks
3–5 years of experience with AWS or equivalent IaaS providers, including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, SSM, Lambda
Proficiency with scripting and programming (PowerShell, SQL, Bash, Ruby)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VPNs, VLANs, routing tables, ACLs, security groups)
Hands‑on experience with Linux distributions (Red Hat, CentOS)
Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle)
Experience with configuration and state management tools (Chef)
Desired Skills
Developing and maintaining automation scripts for system operations
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools within cloud environments
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities
Strong communication and documentation skills for audit, reporting, and operational continuity
Responsibilities
Maintain stable and reliable cloud infrastructure for HMS host‑hosted environments
Ensure daily monitoring, alert response, and incident management according to operational standards
Provide on‑call support during rotation periods to handle after‑hours incidents, escalations, and system alerts
Deliver system performance and availability reports for ongoing service monitoring
Perform server maintenance tasks, including updates, patching, and validation of Windows and Linux systems
Support and maintain AWS infrastructure components (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Route 53, etc.)
Execute and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, SQL, Bash, Ruby) used for system operations
Document all changes, incidents, and troubleshooting steps in tracking systems for operational continuity
Participate in handover and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth transition back to internal staff
