Tesla Motors, Inc.
What to Expect
As a Software Engineer on Tesla's FinTech Team, you'll drive disruptive innovation in our AI-first transformation, architecting hyper-scale systems for payments, reconciliation, billing, invoicing, and accounts receivables that handle billions in annual revenue from online and offline customer payments. Our mission-critical automation generates invoices, reconciles transactions upon bank hits, posts to ledgers, and navigates global market complexities with 99.99% uptime‑now evolving to support Tesla's next era of Robotaxi and Optimus expansion. This high-impact role challenges you to rethink foundational platforms for unprecedented scale; it's demanding but rewarding for driven, pragmatic engineers motivated to fuel Tesla's sustainable future through cutting‑edge, autonomous workflows and cross‑team collaboration.

Leverage exposure to FinTech domains like payments, reconciliation, billing, invoicing, or accounts receivables to optimize global operations
Contribute to scalable systems in high‑stakes environments, such as fintech or global operations, ensuring seamless integration with Tesla's expanding ecosystem
What You’ll Bring
Strong foundation in Computer Science, with a degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including designing and operating production systems at scale
Experience architecting and maintaining distributed systems, with deep familiarity in container orchestration, service deployment, and infrastructure operations
Demonstrated ability to set up robust observability systems from scratch, including distributed tracing, logging, and metrics pipelines
Hands‑on experience with workflow orchestration platforms and self‑hosting complex infrastructure components in high‑availability environments
Experience building AI agents or integrating intelligent systems into real‑world applications, with an understanding of system‑level design considerations for AI‑powered functionality
