LTC is an interpreting agency looking for contracted Persian language interpreters in Indianapolis. You will accept appointments on an as‑needed basis. The ideal interpreter has at least 3 years of experience interpreting and has worked in a variety of medical settings, social work, education, and workplace settings, among others.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site, in‑person interpretation.
• Act as a liaison, using the client’s preferred language.
• Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.

Requirements

• Interpreting certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years overall interpreting experience.
• Ability to keep accurate records.

As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC. Rather you will function as a vendor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis. Candidate must live within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN.
