Corporate Counsel – ALO
Join us as a Corporate Counsel at ALO, a dynamic fast‑growing company located in Los Angeles. This full‑time, mid‑senior level position focuses on a broad range of day‑to‑day legal matters within a creative, mindful movement environment.
Overview As Corporate Counsel you will handle contract drafting and negotiation, international operations, policy development, legal compliance, collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendor management, and support on a variety of other legal department projects. This in‑office role offers exposure to all aspects of the business while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate and execute commercial contracts (product endorsement, independent contractor, modeling agency, partnership, vendor/supplier).
Collaborate with business units to determine local requirements for new jurisdictions, assist with entity formation and liaise with external counsel.
Develop, implement and review company policies and procedures to align with legal requirements.
Ensure contracts and legal documents comply with company processes and external regulations.
Provide strategic advice to procurement, finance, creative, marketing, and other stakeholders.
Manage relationships with external legal service providers.
Contribute to other legal department projects and proactively tackle new subject matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from a top‑tier law school; strong academic credentials.
Admission to the California bar is preferred.
Five or more years of transactional experience in big law and in‑house practice.
Experience in retail and e‑commerce is a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic.
Outstanding analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
Self‑starter who can simultaneously balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to explain legal requirements in clear, layperson language.
Willingness to take initiative and work flexible hours.
Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is
$175,000 – $225,000
per year. Actual salaries may vary based on role, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, compensation may include performance bonuses, long‑term incentives, paid time off, and other progressive benefits.
