Enterprise Architect - SME

to join our team of passionate individuals in

Washington, DC . In this role you will support challenging, mission‑critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.

You will be working in an organization whose mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, exploitation, analytics, and visualization. The section works closely with the enterprise to ensure its applications meet or exceed the mission’s needs.

The Enterprise Architect (SME) is a part of a team that will lead large‑scale data analysis projects, design and deliver on‑premises and cloud‑based applications, and maintain enterprise‑class systems and processes to support mission needs. The Architect develops the baseline and target architecture for a production environment.

The Enterprise Architect (SME) will align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy, identify design gaps in existing and proposed architecture, and recommend changes or enhancements to ensure stability, interoperability, portability, and/or scalability of the system architecture.

Responsibilities

Design, build, implement, and maintain enterprise‑class systems and processes to support mission needs and develop the baseline and target architecture.

Align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy.

Identify design gaps in existing and proposed architecture and recommend changes or enhancements to ensure stability, interoperability, portability, and/or scalability.

Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert with exceptional domain and technical knowledge.

Initiate, supervise, and develop requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff; provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts for client‑specific or mission‑critical challenges; consult with client to define needs or problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to recommend solutions.

Make decisions and apply domain knowledge that may impact overall project implementation; may supervise others.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience recommended.

In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may demonstrate required experience.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance.

Minimum of 12 years of experience with 10 years of related technical specialized experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline (additional years of experience may substitute for the degree).

• Static Application Security Testing (SAST, e.g. SonarQube, Gitlab SAST)

• Unit and integration testing (e.g., xunit, nunit)

• Automated testing

• End‑to‑end testing (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber)

Platforms:

• Attribute and role‑based access control paradigms (ABAC/RBAC)

• Windows Service Fabric

• Splunk administration

• Windows server administration

Data:

• SQL Server 2019+

• SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

Business Analysis and Project Management:

• Agile Principles

• Azure DevOps

The base salary range for this position is

$196K to $207K . This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations.
