Manage and mentor a team of C++, TypeScript, Android, and iOS engineers in a fast‑paced, quick‑to‑market environment Set strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver Set the direction for Snap’s largest open‑source project and grow a community Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor Hire, grow, and retain high‑performing team members Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Background building high‑availability and mission‑critical systems Experience leading an engineering team Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical work experience 8+ years of post‑Bachelor’s software development experience (or Master’s degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 3+ years) 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers Hands‑on experience with mobile development (iOS or Android) Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cross‑platform mobile frameworks Proficiency in one or more of: C++, TypeScript, Android, or iOS Development Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative environments Experience contributing to or leading an open‑source project Compensation
In the United States, compensation includes a base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Base salary ranges vary by zone: Zone A ($229,000‑$343,000), Zone B ($218,000‑$326,000), Zone C ($195,000‑$292,000). Eligible for RSUs. Equal Opportunity
