Giri Hotel Management is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to over see the design and construction of new hotels, as well as renovation projects for existing properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the design and construction process, excellent budgeting and sourcing skills, and a proven ability to manage projects effectively, keep them on schedule, oversee project managers, and report directly to executives.

Job Description The Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design development through construction, commissioning, and closeout. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work Performed

Project Planning & Management: Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resources for all design and construction projects. This includes defining project scope, setting milestones, and tracking progress against deadlines.

Design Management: Oversee the selection and management of architects, interior designers, and other design consultants. Review and approve design documents, ensuring compliance with brand standards, budget, and schedule.

Construction Management: Manage the bidding process, select contractors and subcontractors, and oversee construction activities. Ensure projects are built to specifications, on time, and within budget. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate contracts and manage change orders effectively.

Sourcing & Procurement: Source and procure materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.

Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, hotel operations teams, and external partners. Foster a collaborative working environment with all project team members.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure projects meet established standards and specifications.

Project Closeout: Manage project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in project management, specifically in the design and construction of hotels or similar commercial properties.

Proven track record of successfully managing projects on time and within budget.

Strong understanding of design and construction processes, building codes, and regulations.

Excellent budgeting, cost control, and negotiation skills.

Experience in sourcing and procuring FF&E.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).

Experience with hotel brand standards is a plus.

Compensation $125,000 - $200,000 Annually
