Overview
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Emergency Department (ED) – Level 1 Trauma Center.

Location Norfolk, VA
Shift Second (Evenings) 12‑hour shifts.
About the Hospital Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region’s first Magnet Hospital. It is a 525‑bed medical center and the primary teaching facility for Eastern Virginia Medical School. The hospital is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the 126‑mile region and houses four intensive care units, a 112‑bed nationally ranked heart hospital, a comprehensive certified stroke center, a national‑ranked urology program, and a dedicated burn trauma unit. It also offers heart, kidney, and pancreas transplants and operates the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance.
The 53‑bed Emergency Department handles a variety of medical emergencies, with about 10% being trauma related.
Responsibilities
Triaging patients in the ED.
Verifying medical information.
Caring for the patient’s overall health.
Working closely with doctors and other team members.
