About the Opportunity Join our transition of the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) into a standalone business. You will shape the digital future and foster a culture of innovation within our PLM domain as the Senior Staff IT PLM System Architect.
Position Overview The System Architect, Windchill PLM System will oversee and design the enterprise-wide PLM architecture, drive system integration and data migration initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals and technical needs.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive PLM technology strategy & system architecture aligned with company goals.
Lead and manage PLM integration and data migration implementations, upgrades, and optimizations.
Oversee the data migration project, ensuring schedule, budget and quality.
Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and improve key processes and reporting workflows.
Serve as the primary contact between business teams, system integrators, and IT teams, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the migration.
Provide guidance on best practices for data migration and interfaces such as ERP, Jira, Calibration, Compliance, Regulatory, Suppliers, and other upstream applications.
Oversee day‑to‑day operational management of the PTC PLM platform, ensuring system availability, performance, and user adoption.
Lead and mentor a team of PLM professionals, providing technical leadership and fostering continuous improvement.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for PLM‑related initiatives.
Integrate PLM solutions with other enterprise systems and data sources.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of PLM products, trends, and industry best practices to drive innovation.
Communicate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of continuous improvement and upgrades.
Collaborate with Information Security teams on security, performance optimization, infrastructure management, and system integrations.
Salary Range Bloomberg indicates $200,400 – $290,100 USD for the Bay Area, California (actual salary may vary).
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
15 years of experience as a PTC Windchill PLM architect, implementation, configuration, interfaces/API, and support.
Strong proficiency in PTC PLM and Oracle ERP applications, including Windchill Premium & Advance modules, ThingWorx, Navigator, Creo/CAD, CodeBeamer, AML/SUMA, and reporting engines.
Proven experience managing large‑scale, complex PLM IT projects, including requirements gathering, system architecture, design, testing, and deployment.
Deep understanding of engineering, suppliers, quality, reliability processes such as CAD, Part, BOM, change, doc, issue, audit, AML, compliance, and report management.
Experience with data integration between PLM and other enterprise systems (e.g., Jira, ERP, CRMs).
15+ years of experience managing and interacting with third‑party vendors, content providers, and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to implement innovative technology solutions that drive business value; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
Solid understanding of semiconductor industry processes and business requirements.
Good grasp of cybersecurity, Azure, Dell Boomi, and supplier risk management.
Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions.
