Financial Planning Associate – Stifel Financial Corp. The role involves close supervision, working with Financial Advisors to gather data and prepare simple to moderate financial plans. You may assist branch offices in using MoneyGuide, Stifel’s online Financial Planning platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

Respond to inbound calls from Financial Advisors and their teams.

Communicate with Advisors to obtain all necessary information for financial plan preparation.

Create financial plans ranging from basic analysis to comprehensive plans using MoneyGuide. Complexity generally ranges from simple to moderate.

Work with Financial Planning Specialists to enter data needed to create plans.

Mails and emails completed financial plans to branch offices.

Provide detailed explanations of completed plans to Advisors.

Assist Advisors with information gathering while offering knowledge of Wealth Planning Questionnaire(s).

Support branches on proper use of MoneyGuide and best practices.

Work independently to meet plan preparation deadlines.

Develop spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and other project items as necessary.

Establish knowledge of department and firm policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to financial planning business.

Combine information to form general rules or conclusions and apply them to specific problems to produce meaningful answers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Basic understanding of the securities industry and various securities products.

General understanding of financial planning products and techniques.

Solid and reliable mathematical skills.

Developed interpersonal skills; able to work independently or as part of a team.

Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to organize and present complex issues effectively.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail and proofreading skills.

Analytical problem‑solver who identifies potential issues and applies logic and reasoning.

High level of integrity.

Courteous and efficient telephone etiquette.

Education & Experience

Minimum required: Business degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum required: 0–2 years of securities industry or related experience.

Systems & Technology

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience with financial planning software.
