Primary Purpose The Manager, Field Ops is responsible for managing all operational functions at a branch.
Essential Functions
Direct oversight of dispatcher/routers, service technicians, pick‑up & delivery drivers, yard personnel, fence crew(s), and shop staff.
Review of all paperwork including manifests, routing tickets, DVIRs, etc. for completion and accuracy.
Monitor all service levels and deliveries to ensure the best efficiencies; recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care.
Work directly with other departments to ensure excellent and positive communication within the region.
Work with various departments to resolve customer service and delivery issues; coordinate asset transfers with Operations Managers at other branches.
Maintain proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs.
Analyze and report on operational activities, including service levels, routing efficiency, labor & overtime, and fuel.
Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop and implement standard practices and efficiency recommendations.
Responsible for fleet DOT administration, including log books and record maintenance.
Review and approve e‑time punches prior to payroll processing; review and approve time‑off request forms and schedule time off based on operational necessity.
Administer the company’s safety program at the branch; work with Safety & HR departments to coordinate training where necessary.
Responsible for employee development and conduct periodic performance reviews.
Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment.
Operate a variety of company vehicles and pull trailers with them.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities for staff at the location.
Qualifications
Bilingual preferred.
Minimum 2 Year/Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training.
Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to achieve results.
Customer service, team building, organization, time management, communication, decision making, and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of proper cleaning and repair of assets.
Valid driver’s license (Class C).
Experience with multi‑stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.
Computer knowledge (Navision, Microsoft Office, and routing/logistics software).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of financial statements and experience managing a budget.
Knowledge of all company assets in inventory.
Physical Requirements
Sit while driving, stand while servicing products.
Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; repeat the same movements.
See details of objects less than a few feet away and at greater distance.
Speak clearly and understand the speech of another person.
Hear sounds and recognize differences.
Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion; step and kneel to enter and exit equipment.
Lift up to 40 lbs from wait to shoulders; lift 30 lbs from floor to head.
Crouch, squat, push 100 lbs, and pull 100 lbs horizontally.

Salary Range $85,000.00 – $127,500.00 per year.
