Project Manager - Life Sciences
Join Rockwell Automation, a global technology leader in providing sustainable manufacturing solutions. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead life sciences projects from order receipt through final acceptance.
Job Description As a Project Manager you will plan, control, and manage project deliverables to ensure customer needs are met. You will manage team members, third‑party vendors, and integrate deliverables directly to the customer. You will own project priorities, deliver expectations, and mitigate issues and risks while representing the best interests of the business unit. Remote work from any location in the United States is possible.
Your Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of project management responsibilities.
Manage execution of assigned projects within margin targets and customer schedules.
Manage and report all resource demand and financial aspects of assigned projects.
Apply complex and advanced project management and scheduling techniques.
Travel and work at customer sites (including industrial plants) ~20% of working time.
Support Quality Manager with respect to internal/external audits.
Be a Rockwell Automation representative for assigned projects.
Complete responsibility for successful outcome of projects, managing single projects up to $10M and a portfolio of up to 10 projects.
Manage subcontracts including labor and fixed‑price third‑party deliverables.
Meet project schedule, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.
Contribute to partnerships at business management level of key customers.
Deliver projects to quality standards and constraints dictated by the business and the customer’s industry.
Prepare and negotiate change orders with customers.
Assist in preparation and presentation of quotes, sales proposals, and contracts to customers in compliance with company policies.
Follow all applicable corporate, company, governmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Prepare and lead internal project reviews.
Lead efforts of project personnel on complex projects.
Coach less‑experienced engineers and project managers.
Lead internal project process improvement efforts.
Responsible for resource scheduling to meet project plan requirements.
Serve as the primary interface with customers for assigned projects.
Support an environment conducive to successful team interaction.
Coach in interpersonal conflict situations.
The Essentials – You Will Have
Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Field.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
Ability to travel 20% of the time.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
8+ years of Project Management experience.
Project Management within the Life Science industry (pharmaceuticals or biotech).
8+ years of experience in systems, software, process automation, or application engineering.
Experience in automotive, tire, or battery industries.
Application or technology knowledge in Life Sciences.
Conversant with IFS, MS Project, and all MS software products.
Familiar with PMI and iPM standards.

Compensation Base Salary Compensation ranges from $124,800 to $187,200 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Pay is based on skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
