Responsibilities
Process new referrals, including verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits Perform benefit verification for all patient insurance plans and document coverage details Calculate estimated patient financial responsibilities based on benefit verification Initiate and secure prior authorization requests and follow up as necessary Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, and internal departments regarding referral status and coverage updates
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines Ability to multitask and manage numerous referrals while meeting productivity expectations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CPR+ software Experience in home infusion prior authorization and benefits verification
